While we (a little biasedly) believe Orange County is the best place to live, we’ve collected a few certain places over the years that make this area extra special to us. Today, we’re taking you through our perfect day in the sun.
Here at Big Hype, we believe breakfast is the best way to start the day! We love heading to Great Mex Grill - Mesa Verde to kick off the morning. They have everything from a traditional American breakfast of pancakes, bacon, and eggs, to huevos rancheros, and even a breakfast quesadilla! Our go-to is definitely the breakfast burrito, so we can take it on the go.
Once we’ve fueled up, we try to head down to breathtaking Crystal Cove and hike the El Moro Canyon trail. We’re big on exercise, and with an ocean view like this one, how could we not be? Getting out in nature is the perfect way to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life, especially in a job like digital marketing- we need a break from the screens and a breath of fresh air!
On the drive back up PCH (which is a must!), stop by Corona Del Mar Florist. Their beautiful arrangements will brighten up any room and surely make you smile every time you see them. Plus, their storefront is so instagrammable! The social media manager in us can't help but to recommend snagging a few shots. You’ll feel as though you’ve been transported to a flower shop in Paris!
Now that you’ve got a full tummy, broken a sweat, and picked up a little treat for your home… you have to shop! Our favorite clothing store is Common Thread on 17th Street in Costa Mesa. They have that laid-back SoCal look nailed down, and we can’t get enough. Their band tees are to die for!
To end the perfect day, we always like to take a sunset stroll around Lido Marina Village. You can grab dinner at one the many amazing restaurants there, do a little more shopping, or head down to the dock to watch the sunset on the water. If you really want to go the extra mile, rent an electric boat!
