Marketing During the Covid-19 Pandemic

If your business is temporarily closed, we are truly sorry to hear it, and we’re betting many of your customers feel the same way, but for those businesses who are fortunate enough to be maintaining their businesses through this stay-at-home season, it’s now time to adjust to the new kind of “normal”. It’s time to rethink your marketing strategy and make sure you are reaching your potential customers where they currently are...at home.

So what are you doing right now to communicate with your customers and potential customers? Take a look at your marketing and evaluate whether you have the right “equipment” to reach your customers in this current environment.

Each of our businesses is different and therefore needs to target their customers in different ways, but some questions you should be asking yourself right now are:

  1. Do you have a digital lead generation in place? Meaning, have you invested in a way to reach your target audience digitally, grab the attention of your customers, and bring them into your sales process? This can be achieved by running ads online through Google, on social media platforms, or by communicating with them via email blast. There are different reasons to choose any of these options so it is important to choose the right method for your particular business, products and/or services, and audience.
  2. Once your target audience sees your ads, where are they led to? Do you have a landing page built out where customers can complete the call-to-action that you are asking of them in your ads? Calls-to-action can be that you want them to call you, buy your products, or sign up for something, and your landing page needs to be designed in a user-friendly way to generate the actions that you are looking for.

If you are not sure if your marketing strategy is the right one for targeting your customers while we all “shelter-in-place”, or you don’t have the right “equipment” set up to currently reach your target audience, we are here to help.
